The Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Sqaud investigating the Malegaon blasts case questioned Abhinav Bharat president Himani Savarkar for over three hours on Sunday. Almost all those accused arrested in connection with Malegaon blast are affiliated to the organisation, sources said. Savarkar, who has been head the outfit since April, was questioned at the ATS cell in Pune and was told that she could be summoned again if required.

The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad on Wednesday arrested Lieutenant Colonel Srikant Purohit in connection with the September 29 Malegaon blasts, an ATS official said. Purohit was interrogated two days ago by the ATS in connection with the blasts in Malegaon and was arrested today, Additional Commissioner of Police (ATS) Parambir Singh said. Singh, however, refused to reveal Purohit's role in the blasts.

A MIG-27 fighter aircraft on a routine sortie crashed in a village in Jodhpur district on Friday, injuring seven persons on the ground. The pilot ejected safely after the crash took place at approximately 8.30 am in Konkani village in Luni, 42 kms from Jodhpur, Defence Public Relation Officer Lieutenant Colonel N N Joshi said. According to Superintendent of Police (Rural) Jodhpur, Sharad Kaviraj, seven persons on the ground were injured in the mishap, one of them seriously.
