The Supreme Court on Monday allowed Congress MP Karti Chidambaram, who is facing criminal cases that are being probed by the Enforcement Directorate and the Central Bureau of Investigation, to travel abroad.
Trading in other derivative products in currency, commodities expected to begin soon.
During the hearing, the Central Bureau of Investigation told the court that it has already filed its reply in the case.

The statements of the Mukerjeas were recorded by the Enforcement Directorate, which is probing the money laundering angle in the case, while the CBI had only recorded Indrani's statement before a magistrate as per section 164 of the CrPC, they said.

The government on Tuesday said it will allow setting up of world-class foreign universities in Gandhinagar's GIFT City, free from domestic regulations, to facilitate availability of skilled manpower in the financial services space. The Enforcement Directorate has registered a money laundering case against Karti Chidambaram, son of former finance minister P Chidambaram, and others, taking cognisance of a recent CBI FIR against them.
The bench also extended the interim protection from arrest granted to Chidambaram till September 5.

The court decided the bail petition on three grounds -- flight risk, tampering with evidence and influencing witnesses.
Special CBI Judge Prashant Kumar passed the order noting that the investigation was at its initial stage, and the accused was required to be quizzed.
"I have lost count, how many times has it been? Must be a record," Karti tweeted without specifying.
With the fall of Congress, Chidambaram's political graph too started moving southwards.
The trial court had earlier said that the allegations against Chidambaram were found serious, therefore, he was remanded to police custody.
Chidambaram, who was closely monitoring the case of his son in the Supreme Court which was argued by his party colleague and senior advocate Kapil Sibal, had sprung a surprise last week by filing a petition on his own accusing the CBI and the Enforcement Directorate of carrying out a political vendetta against him and his family.
The probe agency is understood to have alerted all airports and other ports of entry to prevent Chidambaram from leaving, sources said.
The bench said that he would not tamper with the evidence or attempt to intimidate or influence the witnesses in the case.

The apex court was hearing two separate petitions filed by Chidambaram challenging the Delhi high court August 20 verdict by which his anticipatory bail was dismissed in the cases registered by both the agencies-- CBI and ED.

The court allowed Karti to carry spectacles and medicines as per prescription subject to examination and approval by the jail doctor, but denied his request to carry toiletries, books, clothes and home food.
Special Judge Ajay Kumar Kuhar said the CBI demand was "justified" that Chidambaram has to be further interrogated in its custody.
The ED told the apex court that during the investigation it found Chidambaram had 11 'immovable properties' and 17 bank accounts abroad and his custodial interrogation was required to unearth the larger conspiracy in the case.
Declining urgent hearing, the top court observed that judges have more cases 'than they can handle'.
Over 100 questions on various aspects of the case were drafted by investigators which were put to 45-year-old Karti.
The father-son duo are in the radar of the probe agencies in another case concerning the Aircel-Maxis deal.
Three suspected associates of Karti --Bhaskar Raman, Ravi Vishwanathan and Mohanan Rakesh -- are also being questioned
