The Delhi High Court has summoned Tehelka editor-in-chief Tarun Tejpal and his sister Neena Tejpal in a case filed by well-known painter Raghu Vyas seeking damages of Rs 1 crore for allegedly infringing his copyright of one of his paintings.
'We don't know about our own treasures because we are a colonised people. We are unable to break away from that mindset because it is designed as a mouse trap - and colonised people become pigmies/mice on their own soil. We have lost the eyes to appreciate ourselves.'
The verdict is likely to be pronounced before October 2 this year as Justice Misra would be retiring as CJI on that day.

The gay celebrities, in their plea, said their lives have been 'inexorably constricted and their rights infringed' by the penal provision.
The SC in its judgment said that discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation is a violation of Freedom of Expression. "Sexual orientation of an individual is natural and discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation is a violation of Freedom of Expression, Supreme Court," the court said.
The bench also said it would examine the Fundamental Right to life and sexual freedom.
The apex court referred to a larger bench a plea seeking decriminalisation of gay sex between two consenting adults.
