High-profile sports romances have always caught attention and are adored... until it's time for a split.

Against the backdrop of golfer Rory McIlroy and tennis star Caroline Wozniacki's parting, which surprised many, Rediff.com lists other celebrity break-ups.

The dashing Yuvraj Singh always makes headlines. Before his tight-lipped romance with Deepika Padukone, the smashing star batsman enjoyed a steady relationship with Bollywood actress Kim Sharma.

Yuvraj and Kim were the talk of the town when they went out and billed as cricket's hottest couple.
