Indian football icon Baichung Bhutia signed a three-month agreement with Malaysian outfit M K Land of Selangor on Thursday.

Making the announcement, Bhutia's agent Navneet Sharma of Total Sports Asia said the seasoned striker would turn out for his new club in the Malaysia Cup that runs till October 1.

"Baichung will be playing through the tournament. The contract is for the Malaysia Cup only," Sharma said.

The Malaysia Cup includes teams from the top tier Super League and the second division Premier League. M K Land plays in the Premier League, where it finished third this year.

Sharma refused to disclose the amount Bhutia would be paid, but said it was a "good sum".

Besides, Bhutia would be given accommodation and a car, he informed.

This is the third time Bhutia will be playing for a foreign club, having donned the colours of English club Bury F C and Perak F C, another Malaysian team.
