Star forward Mamta Kharab, Saba Anjum and full-back Binita Toppo made a comeback to the Indian squad for the women's Asia Cup hockey tournament, starting in Delhi on Sunday.

The trio, who missed the Afro-Asian Games due to injury, were included in the 18-member list released by the Indian Womens' Hockey Federation on Tuesday.

The team, led by Surajlata Devi, will launch its campaign against Malaysia in Group A on Sunday.

World championship bronze medallists China and Kazakhstan are the other teams in the group.

The inclusion of Kharab and Anjum has given a boost to the Indian forward line, which also boasts of Jyoti Sunita Kullu and Shanggai Chanu.

IWHF sources said experienced Pritam Siwach, who opted out of the preperatory camp due to back injury, was not considered for selection.

The team:

Goalkeepers: Helen Mary, Dipika Murty

Full-backs: Suman Bala, Kanti Baa, Binita Toppo

Midfielders: Sumraj Tete, Surajlata Devi (captain), Subhadra Pradhan, Masira Surin.

Forwards: Surinder Kaur, Mamta Kharab, Saba Anjum, Jyoti Sunita Kullu, Shanggai Chanu, Adline Kerketta, Jasjeet Kaur, Manju and Pushpa Pradhan.
