Mohammed Raziuddin Nasir, who identified the sketch of the IISC attacker, said his name was Abu Hamza. Nasir said he knew Hamza and had met him for the first time in 2007 when he was training at Muzaffarabad. It was there that Hamza told Nasir the entire story of the IISC attack.

Sabauddin, whose custody was secured by the Corps of Detectives from Lucknow, revealed during interrogation that he along with his associate Hamza had identified four targets for the terror attack but zeroed on IISc, as it was hosting an international conference, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Gopal Hosur told PTI in Bangalore. Sabauddin had undergone advanced training in handling all kinds of weapons and explosives and commando training, he said.

A Bangalore court has found six people guilty of abetting the attack on the Indian Institute of Science in 2005, in which one person was killed. The court, while convicting six of the accused, acquitted one. Mohammad Raza Ul Rehman, Afzal Pasha, Mehboob Ibrahim,Mirudin Khan, Nizamuddin and Munna have been convicted while Chand Pasha has been acquitted. The police had identified 11 people who helped stage the IISC attack. Four of them were gunned down in an encounter.

The government is planning to roll out 5G testbed in early January to enable small and medium enterprises and other industry players to test their solutions on a working platform, a top Department of Telecom official said on Thursday. For the promotion of 5G indigenous technology, DoT in March 2018, had approved a multi-institute collaborative project to set up an indigenous 5G Test Bed at a total cost of Rs 224 crore. A testbed consists of a specific environment including hardware, software, operating system, and network configuration to test a product or service.

The government-appointed expert committee, which probes incidents of Ola Electric's S1 Pro and Okinawa vehicles catching fires, has added the latest case of fire involving PureEV electric scooter to its investigation, a senior government official told Business Standard. "A team comprising experts from Indian Institute of Science (IISC) and Centre for Fire, Explosive and Environment Safety (CFEES) are investigating the cases. "As soon as the report is submitted, we shall take appropriate action," said Giridhar Aramane, secretary at the ministry of road transport and highways.
