Bharatiya Janata Party president Lal Kishenchand Advani and senior party leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee met in New Delhi on Wednesday to discuss the recent developments in the Sangh Parivar.
The two met at Vajpayee's residence after paying tributes to B R Ambedkar on his birth anniversary in Parliament.
The leaders met for about 15 minutes, party sources said. However, the two were not willing to comment on the meeting.
The sources said the leaders met to discuss about Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief K S Sudershan and Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Giriraj Kishore's recent statements that senior BJP leaders should step down to make way for youngsters.
Sudershan and Kishore had also ridiculed the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance's six-year rule under Vajpayee's prime ministership. Neither Vajpayee nor Advani has reacted to these remarks.
