Five youngsters were arrested for riding on a two-wheeler and allegedly performing dangerous stunts on roads, police said on Thursday.
The Saifabad Police arrested the five individuals, in the age group of 18-22, for performing dangerous stunts, following an investigation based on a viral video on social media, a police release said.
The incident happened on March 29 at around 1 am, when a motorcycle was noticed traveling from Telangana Talli Flyover Junction towards the Secretariat, it said. The rider was carrying four pillion riders in an extremely rash and negligent manner.
The video of this act, which surfaced on social media, showed the occupants without helmets, posing a severe risk to their lives and other commuters, it said.
Based on the evidence, a case was registered under the relevant sections of BNS on a charge of rash driving and endangering life or personal safety of others besides under the Motor Vehicle Act.
