Maharashtra government will study the special court judgment acquitting actor Sanjay Dutt [Images] of TADA charges in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case before taking any decision to move the Supreme Court against it.

"The legal department will study the judgment of the special court before taking any decision," Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh said.

He said the state government is yet to get a copy of the judgment delivered by special TADA judge P D Kode acquitting the actor of the charges of conspiracy in the case. The court convicted Sanjay for a much lesser offence under the Arms Act.

"Moreover, the whole judgment is yet to come," he said, referring to the court's decision to pronounce the verdict in a staggered manner due to the huge number of accused in the case.
