The three-member delegation, comprising senior amalgam leaders Abdul Ghani Bhat and Bilal Ghani Lone, also discussed the steps required to mitigate the sufferings of the people of the state.

The separatist delegation called on Pakistan Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and several parliamentarians on Thursday.

The sources said Musharraf assured the delegation that any resolution of the Kashmir issue will be finalised only after ascertaining the wishes of the the Kashmiri people.

The amalgam delegation is on a week-long visit of quake-hit areas of Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir.

The two met again on June 7, when Kashmiri separatist leaders crossed over to PoK on the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus.

On September 17, they interacted again in New York, when Musharraf was at the 60th Session of the United Nations General Assembly and the Mirwaiz had to participate in an OIC conference.

On December 8 last year, the Hurriyat chairman called on Musharraf on the sidelines of a two-day summit of the Organisation of Islamic Conference in Mecca, Saudia Arabia.
