The US and Russia have decided to work together to combat international terrorism, drug trafficking and transnational crime.

A statement to this effect was adopted in Moscow on Wednesday at the joint session of the foreign affairs committees of the Russian State Duma and the US Congress.

The statement signed by the US Congress's Foreign Affairs Committee chief Henry Hyde and Duma International Affairs Committee chairman Konstantin Kosachov also recommended adopting a number of Bills aimed at eliminating the sources that finance terrorism, local media reported.
