Jr seer gets bail in Sankararaman murder case

The Madras high court on Thursday granted bail to Kanchi junior seer Vijayendra Saraswati in the Sankararaman murder case.

Justice M Thanikachalam directed the seer to furnish a personal bond for Rs 50,000 with two sureties for like amount, to reside in Chennai, report at the Thousand Lights police station every Sunday and surrender his passport.

The junior seer had filed a bail application in the HC on February one. He was denied bail by a Chengalpattu sessions court on Jan 27.
