Advani to remain Leader of Opposition in Parliament

Setting at rest speculation about his continuance as Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, outgoing Bharatiya Janata Party president Lal Kishenchand Advani on Saturday said the responsibility was still with him.

"Even now, a very important office is still with me...in Parliament, my responsibility is very much there," he told a press conference when asked about his future plans.

"I have been a worker of the party from the beginning and will continue to be so irrespective of the positions I hold," he said.

Asked about changes in the party set up, Advani said it was for the new President to decide.
