Rail and road traffic remained disrupted at several places, even as the toll mounted to 64 with four more deaths reported from the worst-hit Darbhanga district in the past 24 hours.

Official sources said Darbhanga, Sitamarhi and Sheohar districts continued to be cut off from the rest of the country for the seventh day.

Flood waters that had entered the Navodya Vidyalaya at Pachauri in Keoti block of Darbhanga, where 600 students were stranded, have receded and parents are taking their children back.

According to official sources, over 1 crore people have been affected by the floods.
