Godhra: Lalu orders fresh inquiry

Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav on Wednesday ordered a fresh inquiry into the Godhra incident.

Over 50 people, mostly pilgrims returning from Ayodhya, were burnt alive in two bogies of Sabarmati Express in Godhra in February 2002.

The incident had sparked off communal violence in large parts of Gujarat, leaving over 800 people dead and thousands homeless.
