Keep off Mumbai Harbour!!!

The Defence Ministry on Wednesday said that naval guns located in Mumbai would carry out live ammunition firing practice on Thursday.

The firing practice of live ammunition would be carried out on April 22 from the naval guns located at Mumbai Harbour Landmarks, Middle Ground and Oyster Rock from 11am to 1pm and from Colaba Point from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, a Defence Ministry release said in Mumbai.

It said the danger areas for Middle Ground and Oyster Rock firing is the seaward area extending from East and Middle Ground to South of Oyster Rock up to a distance of 12km.

Similarly, the danger area for Colaba Point firing is seaward area extending from southwest of Colaba Point to northwest of Colaba up to a distance of 22km.

The ministry has advised all mariners, ships, boats and crafts to keep clear of the danger areas during the timings fixed for firing.
