BJP to discuss law on temple at conclave

July 15, 2003 16:55 IST

At its national executive in Raipur, which begins on Friday, the Bharatiya Janata Party is likely to consider legislation for the construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya.

"Although we know we do not have a majority, the issue is likely to be taken up at the national executive, though it may not be discussed in detail," party sources said on Tuesday.

The strategy for the elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi and Mizoram will also be discussed at the conclave.

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and top party leaders will attend the meeting.
