NSCN (I-M) is a terrorist outfit: VHP

G Vinayak in Guwahati | January 31, 2003 10:52 IST

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad on Thursday criticised the Centre for holding peace talks with National Socialist Council of Nagalim leaders Thuingaleng Muivah and Isak Chisi Swu.

VHP international senior vice-president Giriraj Kishore said, "They are terrorists and they should be treated like a terrorists."

Muivah and Isak were in Delhi for over a fortnight to hold talks with the Indian government. They had come to India after nearly 37 years in exile.

Kishore said the NSCN has been extorting people and running a parallel government in Nagaland.

He alleged that with the help of the extorted money, the NSCN is running 'embassies' in foreign countries and has become a member of the Unrepresented Nations and People's Organisation.
