Now MDMK may quit NDA

The Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam on Wednesday decided to call a meeting of its district secretaries in Chennai to decide whether to remain within the National Democratic Alliance.

The party's presidium chairman, L Ganesan, disclosed this after he and other MDMK leaders called on party general secretary Vaiko, detained under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.

The meeting with Vaiko lasted little over an hour.
