HC rejects Kshatriya Mahasabha plea to join Ayodhya case

April 29, 2003 16:19 IST

The special bench of the Allahabad high court hearing the Ayodhya title suits today dismissed the application of the Akhil Bhartiya Kshatriya Mahasabha to be impleaded as a party in the case.

The special bench of the Lucknow bench of the high court, comprising Justice Sudhir Narain, Justice S R Alam, and Justice
Bhanwar Singh, rejected the application filed by Shiva Kumar Singh of the Mahasabha's Moradabad unit.

The petitioner had sought the court's permission to make the Mahasabha a party to the case on the grounds that Kshatriyas are descendents of Lord Ram.
