2020 was supposed to see a new line-up of actors making their debut in Hindi cinema.

While some are already stars, the others were waiting for their potential to be discovered. With the coronavirus pandemic showing its ugly face, many of these debuts may get pushed to 2021.

There is no official announcement of any new release dates due to the lockdown, but Joginder Tuteja looks at some of the fresh faces who may have to wait another year to make their debut.

Manushi Chhillar, Prithviraj

There were major Diwali plans for the Akshay Kumar starrer Prithviraj, but with almost half the shooting still remaining, the film will probably move to 2021.

This would mean Manushi Chillar would have to wait for another year to arrive on the big screen.

Miss World 2017 has been waiting patiently for to make it big in Bollywood.

Arjun Reddy made him a Southern sensation and Kabir Singh aroused further curiosity to see how Vijay Devarakonda would fit in Bollywood.

Karan Johar has planned a biggie titled Fighter with Vijay opposite Ananya Panday.

The shooting had started though the release date was never announced.

Ahan Shetty, Tadap

Suniel Shetty's young son Ahan promises to show off his macho side in the movies.

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala has en Bollywood a major star in Tiger Shroff and Ahan could be next in Tadap<./p>

There was no release date announcement for the Milan Luthria film and one waits to see if the debut is pushed to 2021.

Shalini Pandey, Jayeshbhai Jordaar

Like Vijay, there has been a lot of curiosity to see his Arjun Reddy co-star Shalini Pandey.

She will enjoy a big Bollywood launch by Yash Raj Films and will be paired opposite Ranveer Singh in Jayeshbhai Jordaar.

The film is in the post production stage, but then one can expect Ranveer's '83 to arrive first in 2020.

Shalini, incidentally, debuted on OTT with Bamfaad.

Lakshya, Dostana 2

Dostana 2 was supposed to arrive in the middle of 2020 though a formal release date was yet to be announced.

The film's shooting is almost over and hence one can still expect the Kartik Aaryan-led film to arrive before the end of the year.

Newcomer Lakshya probably hopes that Producer Karan Johar decides the same though it would be wait-n-watch.

Sharvari Wagh, Bunty aur Babli 2

Sharvari was seen on the OTT platform in Kabir Khan's The Forgotten Army. Aditya Chopra will launch her in Bollywood with Bunty aur Babli 2.

The film's original release date was set as June 26, but that is definitely not happening.

Krystle D'souza, Chehre

Chehre has been going through changes in its release plans for a while. A change in the female lead and other reschedules meant there is uncertainty when this Amitabh Bachchan-Emraan Hashmi starrer will arrive.

Meanwhile, Krystle D'souza, who impressed with Fittrat on OTT, is waiting for her big screen debut.

Pranitha Subhash, Hungama 2

A popular name down south, Pranitha has been roped in by Priyadarshan for her Bollywood debut.

A sequel to Hungama means Pranitha willl be showing her comic side opposite Meezaan Jaffery.

The film is almost complete and was supposed to be released on the Independence Day weekend.

Sanjana Sanghi, Dil Bechara

This could perhaps be the longest wait an actress in recent times has gone through for her big screen debut.

Dil Bechara was supposed to release last year, but it got pushed. There were also talks about its arrival straight on OTT.

Though the situation is conducive now for that to happen, it still hasn't.

Shirley Setia, Nikamma

Singer-turned-actress Shirley Setia is the new kid on the block with her debut in Nikamma opposite Abhimanyu Dasani.

The shooting is done and had the releases stuck to schedule, it would have released on June 5.

One waits to see if Shirley will be seen on the big screen this year. She made her debut on the OTT platform with Maska.
