The Richard Branson-promoted Virgin Atlantic Airways is all set to launch its daily flights on the Mumbai-London-Mumbai route from December 1.

The airline would now fly seven flights a week providing a daily connectivity on the route.

With the launch of additional flights, Virgin Atlantic has enhanced the total number of flights to 14 on the India-UK route up from the current 10.

The daily flight would depart every day from Mumbai at 1455 hrs arriving in London Heathrow at 1935 hrs. The airline is offering introductory special return economy fare of Rs 17,777.

Virgin Atlantic would be flying aircraft A340-300 on the Mumbai-London-Mumbai route.

Virgin Atlantic Regional Manager (India & Middle East) Andrew Fyfe said the corporate traveller forms a major chunk of the international air traffic especially from Mumbai and this segment offers immense potential.

"We are hopeful of catering to the needs of corporate and leisure travellers by offering them the convenience of seamless daily flights on the Mumbai-London route," he added.

Meanwhile, the airline has also launched an online check-in service, Do It Yourself Check In.

This service provides passengers the freedom to check-in through the Internet, thereby saving time and precluding the hassle of standing in long queues.
