WNS Global buys out ClaimsBPO

BS Corporate Bureau in Mumbai | September 04, 2003 10:36 IST

WNS Global Services, a business process outsourcing unit, is all set to expand its operations with the acquisition of ClaimsBPO, a provider of outsourcing services to the $3.1 billion US healthcare industry.

The new unit, a 100 per cent subsidiary of WNS, will be called WNS ClaimsBPO.

Neeraj Bhargava, president, WNS, North America and group CFO said, "We have been working with ClaimsBPO for the past few months and during these months we have integrated their operational expertise, management experience and industry knowledge with our resources."

The new division will retain all of ClaimsBPO's infrastructure, clients and employees.

"The new venture will combine the data management functions and backoffice services of WNS with ClaimsBPO's sources on data entry, processing and adjudication of various medical claims and offer complete health care solutions to the US market," Bhargava added.

While the Mumbai and Pune centres under WNS have seen expansions in terms of capacity and infrastructure recently, ClaimsBPO's Nashik center will see an addition in the form of fresh recruitment after this acquisition.
