This beauty queen will represent India at the Miss Universe pageant.

Vartika Singh from Lucknow is gearing up to represent India at the Miss Universe 2019 pageant, which will be held on December 9 in Atlanta, USA.

The 26-year-old was recently titled Miss Diva Universe 2019, and with barely few days left for the contest, she is really feeling the pressure.

'There's an immense amount of pressure and a lot of responsibility,' Vartika revealed in an online interview.

'The fact that India hasn't won in 19 years is adding to the responsibility and the pressure.

'But I work better under pressure. If there's pressure, I give my best,' she added.

'My social media and messages are just full of advice from well wishers. It makes me happy (to know) that people are concerned about my performance.

'They give feedback and share their perception which does help a lot.'

Commenting about her journey, Vartika shared, 'It has contributed to the kind of person I am today.

'I'm aware that all eyes are going to be on me. But nobody's perfect.

'What you can do is work with everyone around you and make sure you believe in what you do.'
