Recipe: How to make a gluten-free chocolate cake

Craving for a homemade dessert? But don't want to waste too much time in the kitchen?

Pastry chef Namal Kalubowila, Mövenpick Hotel Colombo, Sri Lanka brings to you a simple and delicious gluten-free chocolate cake recipe. 

Ingredients (for one kg cake):

  • 5 eggs
  • 200 gm sugar
  • 200 gm almond powder
  • 125 gm melted butter
  • 250 gm melted dark chocolate

Method:

  • Mix sugar, almond powder, eggs and melted butter. Once mixed well, add melted chocolate to this mixture. Mix well until the mixture is thick.
  • Bake for 30-40 minutes at the oven temperature of 160˚C.
