The Australian cricket team and some of the Indian players arrived in the Mumbai on Monday evening for the seventh one-day international, to be played at the Wankhede Stadium, on Wednesday.

The players were delayed after their plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Nagpur after being hit by a bird 10 minutes after take-off in the morning.

The Nagpur-Mumbai Jet Airways [Get Quote] flight carrying the Australian team and most members of Indian side had made a "precautionary" landing in Nagpur following the bird hit.

The plane took off again after a delay of nearly five hours.

The Australians, who have already clinched the series with one match left, did not go to the nets and preferred to remain in their hotel rooms.
