Rain delays start of first WI ODI

The start of the first One-Day International between India and the West Indies [Images], at Sabina Park, Kingston [Images], Jamaica, was delayed due to heavy overnight rain.

Umpire Steve Bucknor [Images] announced that an hour's play will be lost, resulting in a 45-over game.

More rain this morning had earlier virtually ruled out the possibility of play.
