BCCI sub-committee to meet

June 28, 2004 19:36 IST

The New Area Development Programme (NADP), a panel formed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to oversee cricket's advance into new territories within the country like Daman, Diu and Pondicherry, is to meet in Mumbai on Tuesday.

The panel, with BCCI vice-president Ranbit Singh Mahendra at its helm and joint secretary Prof. Ratnakar Shetty as its convenor, would review its activities in the last season, as per the agenda, according to board sources.

Meanwhile, the BCCI has decided to conduct a Media Workshop in Mumbai on July 2 and 3. The workshop is being organised to give tips to the representatives of the associations handling the media on how best to go about their job, BCCI sources said.

The chairman of the BCCI's Communication and Co-ordination Committee, Rajiv Shukla, and its director, Amrit Mathur, are scheduled to conduct the workshop, the sources added.
