Pakistan appoint South African fitness trainer

Pakistan have appointed South African fitness trainer Murray Stevenson on a three-year contract.

Pakistan last week replaced Javed Miandad as coach with Englishman Bob Woolmer. Woolmer, South Africa's former coach, is due to join the team from July 2.

Pakistan had a string of injury problems during their home series against India in March and April, with fast bowlers Shoaib Akhtar, Shabbir Ahmed, Umar Gul all sidelines, as well as all rounder Abdul Razzaq and wicketkeeper Moin Khan.

Pakistan take part in the Asia Cup, a six-team limited-overs tournament, next month.
