New 100 rupee currency notes with inset letter 'G' in both numbering panels will be in circulation shortly.
The Reserve Bank of India will issue the notes in Mahatma Gandhi series.
Except for the change in inset letter, the design of these notes is similar in all respect to those issued earlier in Mahatma Gandhi Series, an RBI statement said in Mumbai.
