Biocon's insulin 'pen'

After the successful rollout of Insugen (a low cost human insulin) and on the way to developing oral insulin, Biocon is working on insulin cartridges which can be administered

through a reusable pen.

"The insulin pens using Biocon's cartridges will be sourced through FDA-approved manufacturers and are expected to hit the market in 6-9 months," said a senior company official.
