Q. In India economic growth in the agricultural sector has legged behind other sectors in recent years and thus has had a negative effect on poverty alleviation and hunger in the rural areas in particular. India may be the second fastest growing economy in the world, but it has a long way to go in eradicating hunger. In our country one in ten ppl go to bed hungry every day. Tow square meals a day are still a dream for many ppl. It is tragic that this situation prevails even after 60 years of Independence. It is a matter of shame. Comment??
