Men's singles

Soumyajit Ghosh

Soumyajit Ghosh edged out stalwarts like Sharath Kamal and Anthony Amalraj to book a berth to the London [ Images ] Games.

This Siliguri lad became the youngest Indian paddler to join the Indian contingent at the Olympics [ Images ]. An impressive performance in the Asian Olympic qualification tournament sealed a place.

Won gold (doubles Bronze (Mixed Doubles) - World) Commonwealth Youth Games in 2008

Women's singles

Ankita Das

She is the youngest and only Indian paddler to qualify for the Olympics. The Siliguri girl registered a hard-fought victory over her senior Indian counterpart K Shamini in the South Asian qualifiers to seal the berth.
