Rudy Giuliani in Mumbai

Will Rudolph Giuliani be the next President of the United States? It was a question put to him at a press conference in Mumbai, February 22.

The next US Presidential election is in 2008, said the former mayor of New York City, adding that he had time to think about it.

Speaking to reporters at Mumbai's Taj Mahal Hotel, Rudy Giuliani -- who became America's favourite tough guy for his leadership style after 9/11 -- fielded all kinds of queries, from management to tackling bird flu. And he fielded them well.

He is in Mumbai on an invitation to deliver the 15th Sir Dorab Tata Memorial Lecture on Wednesday evening. The theme of his keynote address is 'Principles of Leadership', a topic he is obviously comfortable with, considering his successful tenure as the 107th mayor of New York City from 1994 to 2001.
