The 2012 Global Indian Music Awards were held on October 1 at Yashraj Studio in Andheri, a western Mumbai suburb.

Several Bollywood stars added glamour to the event with talented musicians and artists who attended the do.

Shah Rukh Khan, whose film Ra.One picked up quite a few awards for its hit songs, recieved the Film Song Of The Year award for Chammak Challo from Sonakshi Sinha.

Singer Nandini Srikar picked up the Best Female Playback Singer award for her song Bhare Naina from Ra.One.

Music composer duo Shankar Ehsaan and Loy won The Best Music Arrangement award for their song Senorita in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
