We'd asked you dear readers to share your love story with us. Suman Guha Roy tells us how he met his wife.

We met at a dance competition in Assam. Both of us were judging the competition.

At that time, we were not introduced to each other.

The moment I saw her, I felt that she was the one.

During the break, I gathered the courage and spoke to her.

While we were talking, I noticed small things about her... the way she tucked her hair behind her ears, her smile, her eyes and the way she carried herself.

I couldn't take my eyes off her. She didn't have a good first impression of me, as I was not dressed for the occasion.

Thereafter, she left for her hometown, Jorhat in Assam and I left for Bhilai in Chhattisgarh.

But my mind kept replaying all the interactions that happened between us.

I was unable to think about any of the other matrimonial cases that were presented to me after that day.

I gathered some courage to call her and request for a phone conversation.

Before calling her, I was a bit worried. I feared that she may ignore my call.

When I spoke to her, I asked her to accept my request only if she felt comfortable.

She accepted the request and my joy knew no bounds.

We spoke at length, and I made clear my intentions to marry her. I tried convincing her and she reciprocated.

After days of phone conversations, I proposed marriage to her on Valentine's Day.

She didn't reply as she wanted to meet me in person to convey her decision.

We met at Dimapur in Nagaland, where she worked in a school.

We met, talked, laughed and discussed our past and future. She then said 'yes'.

Wow! What a moment that was. I could not stop smiling.

I shared the news with my close friend Umesh Verma.

But the harder part was yet to come.

We had to convince her family, who finally agreed, but with some reluctance.

A meeting was scheduled, and her mother and brother visited my hometown to meet my parents around Durga Puja.

After a long discussion, it was decided that we'd be getting married on February 6.

But one of our relatives suggested that we also get a court marriage done.

We applied to the family court and the date we got for the court marriage was February 14.

I proposed on Valentine's Day, and in a year, we got married on February 14.
