The Uttarakhand tourism department is working on a plan to develop a 'Modi circuit' at the Corbett Tiger Reserve, covering the places visited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi while shooting for a television programme in 2019.
The 25-member team returned to Rishikesh on Monday after traversing a distance of 1,158 km on foot braving the vagaries of the weather in highly difficult terrain in 50 days.
Goa, Kerala, Maldives and Dubai are among the popular destinations.
Tourism to Corbett and Almora could be particularly hit as a result of the fire, which has destroyed 2,200 hectares of forest.
