Adding a new dimension to the ongoing price war, Hyundai Motor India on Thursday introduced the export variant of its premium hatchback, Getz GLE, in the Indian market priced at Rs 415,000.
Hyundai Motor India on Thursday downplayed apprehensions that its premium hatchback offering 'Getz' was under 'threat' following the launch of Suzuki's 'Swift' in the same segment, at a relatively cheaper price.
The Swift's contender was the Toyota Innova, and not the Fiesta as many expected.
The new Swift has been built on the fifth-generation HEARTECT platform, which improves the hatchback's strength and rigidity while also benefitting its power to weight ratio.
