The police of Providence, Rhode Island, has launched a massive search operation to find Tripathi, while his friends have not only been doing their own search, putting up posters across the city, but also have launched a Facebook page to find him.
The family of Sunil Tripathi, the Indian-American student whose body was recovered from the Providence river in the US state of Rhode Island, has said that the 22-year-old had shown signs of depression prior to his disappearance.
"Not knowing Sunil's whereabouts, we feel strongly about communicating with him directly," 22-year-old Indian-American Sunil Tripathi's mother Judy said in the short video.

The software had, perhaps unknown to Dr Tripathi, tracked the changes he had made. The 'morph track' feature of the software provided a trail of what had been done and also indicated that the doctor had, it seemed, opted to morph Sheena's face with the provided skull, much in the same manner that Fantamorph can turn a woman into a cheetah.
'In 2015 I watched films in so many places. I attended several film festivals around the world -- Berlin, Tribeca (New York), Telluride, Toronto, Zurich, Mumbai, Dharamsala and Goa,' says Aseem Chhabra, author of a forthcoming book on Shashi Kapoor.
