The Prime Minister's Office on Wednesday sought to dismiss the alleged nexus between realty giant DLF and Priyanka Gandhi's husband Robert Vadra as 'false'. An affidavit filed by PMO Joint Secretary Dheeraj Gupta before the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court termed as "false, vexatious and based on hearsay" the allegations about DLF having extended undue favours to Robert Vadra.
Criticising the transfer of an Haryana IAS officer who was probing alleged undervaluation of properties dealt with by Robert Vadra, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday said the Congress is suffering from an 'Emergency mindset' and demanded that an impartial inquiry be held into the matter. "Congress is in complete shambles and in doldrums. It is trying to save Robert Vadra. We want an honest and impartial probe into the charges," said a BJP leader.
