A teenage girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence at Belgharia in adjoining North 24 Parganas district, the police said on Thursday.
The accused was arrested after the victim lodged a compliant at the Burrabazar police station, Deputy Commissioner of police (central) D P Singh said.
