Mirwaiz extended an open invitation to all pro-freedom groups to join the Hurriyat Conference to strengthen it.

In a statement, the managing body of the Jamia Masjid said on Wednesday, 'This is to inform the public that authorities have conveyed to Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid that once again, Eid ul Adha prayers will not be allowed at the historic and central Eidgah Srinagar.'

The foreign minister acknowledged that he spoke with Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz and India should not make it an issue.
"I believe that China is not a party to the conflict (over Kashmir) but China has a stake as far as peace in the region is concerned. So, the Hurriyat Conference welcomes the approach adopted by China and America jointly in terms of addressing the issue of Kashmir in South Asia," Farooq said. He was referring to the Sino-US joint statement issued on Tuesday after a meeting between President Barack Obama and his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao.
The National Conference president also extended an invitation to the Mirwaiz and Mehbooba for a separate meeting.
The Hurriyat leader, who is visiting Pakistan with a three-member delegation.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday deplored the attacks on moderate Huriryat Conference chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq saying it was against the democratic traditions of the country.
