In yet another ceasefire violation, Pakistani troops targeted six Indian posts with mortar and small arms fire in Poonch and R S Pora sectors along the border but there were no reports of any casualties. The Pakistani troops fired on five Indian posts along the Line of Control in Krishna Ghati sub-sector of Poonch from around 2130 hours, drawing retaliation from Indian army personnel, a senior army officer said.
The terrorists had killed Farooq Ahmad's son last year.
In the gun battle, one terrorist identified as Sadam Hussain Mir, a resident of Chatripora Shopian, belonging to Hizbul Mujahideen, was killed, the official said.
Around 15 big camps are active near the LoC (around 15 to 20 kilometre from the LoC). Out of 15, 10 are at the LoC and the other five are in Pakistan, sources were quoted saying.

Troops of Pakistan opened fire at Army posts and civilian areas in Poonch district on the Line of Control with automatic weapons and rockets for the fourth day in row on Wednesday prompting army to return fire.
The Indian army said that while the infiltration bids were foiled, it has also inflicted heavy damage to several Pakistani posts across the Line of Control in Poonch sector.
The Army, in its statement, has vowed to give a befitting reply to Pakistan "in the same language".
