Chandna took to Twitter to vent out his anger. He wrote, 'Honourable chief minister, I have a personal request to you. Free me from this cruel ministerial post and give the charge of all my departments to Kuldeep Ranka ji, because anyway, he is the minister of all the departments. Thank you.'
A day after Rajasthan sports minister asked to be relieved from his post over the conduct of the CM's principal secretary, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday said Ashok Chandna's tweet should not be taken seriously as he might be under pressure due to the workload.
Five persons were killed and 150 others sustained burn injuries in a major fire that broke out after a petrol tanker exploded in Sitapura industrial area in Jaipur on Thursday evening, the police said. The fire spread fast and enveloped several factories located within a radius of three kms. Details about the extent of the damage caused by the fire is still awaited, said the police.
The Rajasthan Venture Capital Fund (RVCF), which has a corpus of Rs 100 crore (Rs 1 billion), would focus on innovative projects in the small and medium enterprises (SME) segment, such as the IT/ITeS, bio-technology, retail, tourism, hospitality and entertainment sectors.
The waiver would cost Rs 18,000 crore to the state government.
