The traffic on Kalyan-Kasara section of the Central Railway in Thane district of Maharashtra, was affected due to the collision between an Express and a local train on Thursday night, will be fully restored by early Saturday morning, a top official said.
No one was injured in the incident which took place on platform no. 1 of the CSMT around 9.40 am, Central Railway's chief public relations officer Shivaji Sutar said.
Local train services came to a halt between Badlapur and Ambarnath section in Maharashtra's Thane district adjoining Mumbai due to water-logging on railway tracks after heavy rains, officials said.
