Security forces in Kashmir on Sunday killed three top militants, including the financial chief, of the frontline Hizbul Mujahideen and the divisional commander of Harkatul Mujahideen in two separate encounters.
A top commander of the Hizbul Mujahideen was on Saturday gunned down in the ongoing encounter between security forces and militants in the Budhal area of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources in Jammu said.
Security was tightened in and around the Secretariat complex in Thiruvananthapuram, following a bomb threat.
A top militant commander has supported the Irish-type solution to resolve the Kashmir issue, but added, "India should first accept Kashmir as a disputed territory."
Police said a gas cylinder exploded inside the canteen of 102 Engineers Regiment at Hamray Pattan in north Kashmir Baramulla district, 40 km from Srinagar.

Junaid was trapped in a bus by police personnel who posed as passengers when the militant undertook a journey to travel to his area of operation.
During the operation an encounter took place in which the two militants were killed. Two AK rifles, three magazines and some explosive material were recovered from the site of encounter, official sources said.
