A BEST bus operating on a wet lease crashed into a roadside divider on the Sion-Panvel highway in Mumbai's Mankhurd area, resulting in one fatality and ten injuries. The driver claimed brake failure. This incident marks the third major BEST bus accident in Mumbai this month.
The driver was speeding and the bus swerved for about 200 metres before it dashed into multiple vehicles on the road.
