The Indian government allowed foreign airlines to buy up to 49 per cent stakes in Indian carriers in September 2012.
The no-frills carrier was launched in 2009. It began India operations a year later.
In June, flydubai doubled its network in India with the start of flights to Delhi, Kochi and Trivandrum.
But its sales pitch will remain muted till India opens up more seats on the route
