Toro Rosso's stunning Italian Grand Prix victory was no fluke, former Minardi team owner Paul Stoddart said on Wednesday. Stoddart, who watched Sunday's race on television in Britain, was delighted for the Italy-based team that he saved from collapse in 2001 before selling out.

Spanish teenager Jaime Alguersuari is set to become Formula One's youngest ever driver after Toro Rosso ran out of patience with France's Sebastien Bourdais on Thursday. The Ferrari-powered team, winners of their home Italian Grand Prix last year with Germany's Sebastian Vettel, said four-times Champ Car champion Bourdais had made his last appearance for them. His replacement will be announced shortly before next week's Hungarian Grand Prix.

Red Bull will sell their Toro Rosso Formula One team before 2010 because of a change in the Formula One regulations, co-owner Dietrich Mateschitz has confirmed. The 2010 rules will outlaw the use of so-called 'customer cars', where one team uses a chassis provided by another, and ensure that all teams entered in the constructors' championship build and design their own racers.
